Discussion Meeting on ‘NbS Bangladesh Portal’ and Establishing ‘NbS Bangladesh Network’
On 12 July 2020, the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) organized the first discussion meeting who are interested to be part of the NbS network. The meeting was conducted using zoom platform to present on the recently developed NbS Bangladesh Portal (www.nbsbangladesh.info) by ICCCAD and the Nature-based Solutions Initiative (NBSI) at the University of Oxford and to explore the opportunities and needs for “NbS Bangladesh Network”. Suggestions and feedback came out from the stakeholders based on their expectation to include and improve the content on case stories tab, grey literatures, policy tab, events and overall communication. Lastly, the meeting explored possible modalities of engagement through the network. As there has been a growing interest in NbS among the stakeholders, the discussion suggested having a formalized NbS Bangladesh Network inviting both organizations and individuals who can contribute to the portal and collaborate with other network members.
